Not even the occasional shower could keep people away from Chagford Show!
Although Bluetongue meant that the sheep and cattle classes had to be cancelled this year, there was still plenty going on, and visitors were warmly welcomed at the North Dartmoor Parishes tent.
With a cold drink in hand, visitors were able to enjoy biscuits and cakes, take a welcome seat and have a chat with members of the team. It was lovely to meet so many people and to have the opportunity to tell them a little more about the life of our parishes.
There was plenty to keep younger visitors entertained too, with activities including colouring and making a three-dimensional sheep. In fact, the sheep-making activity looked so inviting that even the adults were tempted to have a go!
Despite the changeable weather, it was a lovely day and we were delighted to be part of Chagford Show and to meet so many visitors.
